Summer Days 3 was a small but mighty group of 5!
This week there was a lot of whittling to make spears, bows and arrows. We practiced weaving and made our own quivers out of birch bark and fabric.
There was lots of hammering, climbing rocks and looking for toads and frogs.
We talked about what it means to be resilient, and looked for trees that were. We told spooky stories, practiced with our bow and arrows, made cat eyes, boxes and nature journals.
We zipped on the zip line, made paracord bracelets, balanced on the slack line, played camouflage, built a climbing frame and even got to see one of Heidi’s monarch caterpillar do the “pupate dance”!
